A check engine light, a stumble at idle, or a transmission that suddenly shifts hard is your vehicle's way of saying something is wrong. Vehicle diagnostics is how we figure out exactly what, before you spend money on parts you may not need.

It starts with a free check engine light scan. But a trouble code is a starting point, not an answer. A code that points to an oxygen sensor, for example, might actually trace back to a vacuum leak, a damaged wire, or a fuel delivery problem. That's why our ASE-certified technicians go further, using live sensor data, component testing, and manufacturer service information to confirm the root cause. We don't replace parts based on a code alone.

Every visit also includes a free multi-point inspection. Once we know what's going on, we send the findings to your phone, explain them in plain language, and provide a written estimate. No work begins until you approve it. We diagnose gas, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles across most makes and models.

Not every dashboard warning is an emergency, but some are. Knowing the difference can protect your engine and your wallet:

• Flashing check engine light: an active misfire that can overheat and damage the catalytic converter. Slow down and get it checked right away.
• Steady check engine light: something needs attention soon, but it's usually safe to drive to the shop.
• Red oil pressure light: stop driving as soon as it's safe to avoid engine damage.
• Battery or charging light: the alternator may not be charging, and the vehicle could stall.
• Temperature warning: pull over and let the engine cool before going further.
